Overview

Job Responsibilities:
Initiate the investigation of new residential and commercial property claims
Make coverage opinions and decisions based on client need
Evaluate and negotiate settlements of specified perils, property damage, and property damage liability losses as appropriate.
Manage and oversee the work of outside business partners, experts and contractors
Establish contact with the insured and claimant within established protocol.
Recognize coverage issues and bring them to the attention of the supervisor.
Develop basic understanding of liability and coverage principles.
Recognize state specific laws and claims regulations throughout the United States to insure proper compliance in claims investigation including sending and securing proper documentation.
Complete research to determine market value on residential and commercial properties

Respond to time sensitive material including but not limited to intercompany arbitration hearings, and department of insurance complaints.
Manage a diary system to systematically review and resolve claims within the specified state compliance guidelines.
Maintain state license by completing continuing education coursework and/or work towards a claims designation.
Handle small claim suits as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the claims supervisor.
Qualifications:

As part of the National Operations team, the Director, Specialty Market Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing London claims operations for Canada. Job Responsibilities:
Claims Operational Management:
Manage end to end claims operations for the London Open Market, Managing General Agent loss adjusting, Specialty lines and any binging authority business, creation of efficient workflow to ensure timely handling and reporting to stakeholders.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance with regulatory bodies and standards.
Monitor claims lifecycle processes, from First Notice of Loss to settlement to optimize workflow.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Participation and collaboration with underwriters, cover holders, MGA’s, adjusters and external partners to ensure effective claims management.
Act as the main point of contact for all lines of business for escalation resolution.
Data and Performance Analysis:

This is a hybrid role that involves production with handling of files.
Financial Management
Responsible for the management of direct reports billings and maintaining the level of interims as per company standards

Job Responsibilities
Financial Management
Responsible for the management of direct reports billings and maintaining the level of interims as per company standards
Responsible for revenue contributions and EBITDA/margins
Responsible for the management and assist in the collection of account receivables
File Quality / Customer Service
In preparation for QA file reviews, review billings and fees in accordance with client billing expectations and corporate standards
Handle insured and client complaints, monitor and ensure resolutions reached
Review, analyze, revise, and sign adjuster’s reports, ensuring compliance/accuracy and efficiency
Review fees for accuracy and quality
Technical Expertise and Support
Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters and technical issues such as: coverage analysis, subrogation, liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiation, and reserve establishment for claims
Adjuster Production
Manage budgeted revenue expectations in conjunction with individual adjuster production
Works with Supervisor, Administrative Support to coordinate effective file support for adjusters
Employee Development
Prepare and discuss performance reviews with staff members
Provides guidance and feedback regarding performance
Support technical training and other development requirements
Coordinate and facilitate staff meeting on a regular basis
In conjunction with the Licensing Officer, monitor and track licensing status/issues with FSCO and manage criteria for all direct reports
Resource Management
Monitor and assess resources (capacity) vs. volume in conjunction with Human Resources and the management team
Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff
Business Development
Responsible for meeting business development objectives as set out by the Corporation
Other
Support the account management and effective partnerships with dedicated accounts; running performance overviews and producing monthly revenue reports in order to track trends
Special projects as assigned by management
Responsible for the communication of corporate policies and ensuring compliance
Provides file review feedback and in some cases direction on file completion
Qualifications & Experience
University degree/college diploma preferred or equivalent business experience.
CIP / FCIP designation or actively pursuing and/or nearing completion of same.
Minimum of 10 years claims adjusting experience with experience at the management level
Field Claims adjusting experience required
Property Claims adjusting experience required
Proficient with MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Explorer)
Strong communication skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, and must be able to flex style appropriate to audience
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner

We are looking for a Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team . Reporting to one of our Branch Managers, the key focus of this position is to start your career in claims and develop in a mentorship environment the skills required for the investigation, adjustment, and examination of multi-line claims at a junior level.
Claimspro is a technology enabled, paperless environment and all matters are managed electronically. The Adjuster Trainee will enter into a period of structured training to obtain the skills required to be successful in a career in claims.
