Role Summary Depending on the level of experience and area of expertise, the successful candidate will be responsible for the investigation and adjusting of either Property or “All Lines” claims. Furthermore, you will provide SCM standard quality service and facilitate prompt and equitable settlement of claims within the parameters of corporate policies and standards. The successful candidate will also initiate and follow-up on business development opportunities. Other duties may be required as needed.

Responsibilities
The Junior Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well-honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have background/experience in Property, Liability, Auto, Accident & Benefits (Section B), and Bodily Injury claims. Although this position will adjust multi-line claims, the bulk of the work is in property. Responsibilities include;
Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendation. Scope and establish quantum of damages. Negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
Education, knowledge and experience required
At least 1 year of relevant experience in claims Must qualify for at least a level 1 AB Adjuster’s license Ongoing commitment to education and learning. Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics Good investigative manner Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them. Formation, connaissances et expérience requises
• Permis valide de l'AMF d'expertise en sinistres • Au moins 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans le règlement de sinistres spécialisé en responsabilité civile • Permis de conduire valide
Responsabilités
• Recueillir les versions des faits des assurés et/ou des témoins / tiers en les interrogeant avec tact et vigilance, selon les normes de qualité de nos clients et de service à la clientèle. • Enquêter sur les faits et circonstances afin de déterminer la cause et la responsabilité du sinistre; communiquer des recommandations bien fondées aux clients. • Constater et déterminer l’envergure des dommages selon les normes de nos clients. . • Négocier un règlement équitable et satisfaisant pour toutes les parties en cause. • Participer au développement des affaires en rencontrant régulièrement les clients actuels. • S'acquitter des tâches qui lui sont confiées conformément aux normes de travail, politiques et procédures établies.
Compétence requises pour réussir
• Expérience en sinistre de responsabilité civile • Bonnes aptitudes en communications interpersonnelles • Aptitudes à négocier • Bonne gestion du temps • Faire preuve d’esprit d’équipe • Dédier aux services à la clientèle

Job Description
Investigate all types of personal lines and commercial lines claims, assess damages and negotiate settlements on behalf of insurance companies or self-insureds.
Required training, knowledge and experience - Valid AMF claims adjuster's license - At least 3 to 5 years' experience in third-party liability claims settlement - Valid driver's license - Bilingualism an asset
Responsibilities
- Gather versions of events from insureds and/or witnesses/third parties by questioning them tactfully and vigilantly, in accordance with our clients' quality and customer service standards. - Investigate the facts and circumstances to determine the cause and responsibility of the loss; communicate well-founded recommendations to customers. - Ascertain and determine the extent of damage in accordance with our customers' standards. . - Negotiate a fair and satisfactory settlement for all parties involved. - Participate in business development by meeting regularly with existing clients. - Perform assigned duties in accordance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
Skills Required to Succeed - Experience in civil liability claims - Good interpersonal skills - Negotiation skills - Good time management - Demonstrate team spirit - Dedicated to customer service
