ClaimsPro relies on their Administrative Assistants to support the branch staff and producers in the delivery of quality service to our clients.
The key focus of the position is to provide effective and efficient administrative support within a fast-paced environment. The position duties include typing, computer work on our internal software program and MS Office (Excel) file coordination and filing, reception duties and may also provide other administrative and clerical support to various branch staff. Other duties as may be required.
We have an existing opportunity to add an Administrative Assistant to our team!
Responsibilities:
- Set up and preparation of new claims assignments to internal adjusters in accordance with predetermined KPI’s and client guidelines,
- A positive, “can do” attitude and customer service approach ensuring all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner,
- Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to problem solve and work well independently and in a team environment,
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to re-prioritize tasks and manage time effectively,
- Team player and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all individuals in all levels within the organization,
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast paced and changing environment,
- Maintaining applicable information and data entry within internal claims management software.
- Sending appropriate client acknowledgements, confirmations and correspondences to clients, claimants, legal representatives and parties involved on various claim files,
- Transcribe data from source documents following generally standardized procedures using coding skills and some judgement for review by the adjuster,
- Collating reports and statements
- Processing client invoicing for claims and prepare files for closure,
- Administrative support to the branch manager and administrative supervisor as needed,
- Reception relief answer phones and forward calls in a timely, professional and efficient manner,
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade twelve diploma
- A post-secondary diploma in Office Administration will be given preference.
- Previous experience within a dynamic team will be given preference.
- Experience in an administrative support environment is preferred
- Any insurance experience would be an asset
- Previously demonstrated ability to execute high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and proven organizational skills
- Demonstrated behaviors showing initiative behaviors and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated professionalism and work ethic
- Proven ability to contribute to and work well within a team environment
- Intermediate experience with Word, and strong Excel skills are required
- All other computer applications –must have the aptitude and ability to learn as required

Salary Range - $38,700/year – $53,700/year

We have an existing opportunity to add a Claims Adjuster to our team! You will work in a Hybrid based environment supporting field requests within the Nanaimo area, or work remotely on Desktop Claims anywhere in Canada.
Job Summary The Claims Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have background/experience in Property.
Key Responsibilities

Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants.

Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.

Using supplied technology (e.g., Docusketch.), scope and establish quantum of damages.

Identify exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.

Throughout the claims process, provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.

Participate and share ownership and responsibility for afterhours customer service requirements when required

Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:

Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).

The ideal candidate is required to successfully pass the test for the Adjuster's BC license Level 1 prior to employment.

Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation as well.

Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics

Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.

Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.

Role Summary
We have existing opportunities to add Claims Service Representatives to our team! You will work in a remote based environment providing immediate and customer-focused assistance to policyholders who are calling to report insurance claims. Document initial loss details and activities to ensure that callers experience timely and service oriented disposition of calls. Make determination based on protocol if immediate adjuster attention is required and coordinate with vendors as required.
* In order to work remotely, you will require High Speed Internet. (Download and Upload speed must both be at a minimum of 50 mbps) * Please note that this position requires shift work on a seven (7) day rotating basis with an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am to 12am. Weekend shifts are mandatory. *This is a full-time opportunity, and will require 37.5 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities • Review call report and ensure call has terminated properly, then forward accurate and complete call reports as required. • Provide personalized customer service of the highest level • Arrange for the dispatch of adjusters or vendor partners when required • Field and answer branch inquiries and administer to appropriate area • Maintain data base of service lapses reference for root cause, report trends and make recommendations to management • Review claim information to determine proper next steps for processing against client guidelines/ service agreements
Education, knowledge and experience required • Post secondary education is required • Minimum of 1 year of customer service or administrative experience is required • Knowledge of insurance/service industry or related experience preferred • Strong computer and telephone skills with an aptitude/ability to learn • Effective communication skills both written and verbal in English and French • Attention to detail
