ClaimsPro, Canada’s leading provider of independent claims adjusting services and an SCM company, announced today that Malcolm (“Mac”) Ross will retire on November 30, 2017. He presently serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Solutions for ClaimsPro. He has been a part of SCM Insurance Services since 1997 and has worked in Canada’s insurance services industry for nearly 50 years.
Mr. Ross brought a unique combination of claims management knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the evolving nature of the insurance adjusting industry to his work with ClaimsPro. This expertise was evident in Mr. Ross’ work with iAdjust™, ClaimsPro’s technology-leading, proprietary claims management platform, which provides clients with the claims and financial data they require to make smart business decisions.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Mr. Ross started his insurance career with Sutton & Perry in 1968, eventually joining and becoming the District Manager, Eastern Ontario for Morden & Helwig. In 1981, Mr. Ross co-founded Attfield & Ross Ltd., which grew to be Eastern Ontario’s largest independent adjusting firm under his leadership until its acquisition by SCM in 1997.
A specialist in professional liability, major property and hardware/software computer loss, Mr. Ross has built and maintained critical client relationships throughout his time at ClaimsPro. In addition to serving as the senior contact for various important accounts, Mr. Ross has provided mentorship to the next generation of independent adjusters.
In his retirement, Mr. Ross is looking forward to spending more time with his wife of 48 years, Judy, his children and three grandchildren.
“Mac Ross has made indelible contributions not just to ClaimsPro, but to our entire industry,” began Lorri Frederick, President of ClaimsPro. “His expertise and dedication are unparalleled; we wish him the very best.”
“All of us at SCM Insurance Services are grateful for the hard work, knowledge, and insight we have received from Malcolm Ross,” said Bob Fitzgerald, CEO of SCM Insurance Services. “He has been a member of the SCM family for 20 years and will be missed.”
Malcolm Ross will celebrate his retirement in November with colleagues and friends.
