TORONTO, ON – ClaimsPro, Canada’s leading provider of independent claims adjusting services and an SCM company, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Hamu as District Manager for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In addition, Jennifer will also serve as Branch Manager for ClaimsPro’s Markham, ON location. 

Jennifer is a recognized leader in the industry with a commitment to education and mentorship. For 13 years, she steadily advanced through numerous claims roles at a national independent adjusting firm, before joining a national insurer as Claims Manager in 2022 where she oversaw the adjusting team handling complex general liability claims. She has also been an instructor with the Insurance Institute of Ontario since 2019, where she continues to facilitate various programs.

Recently, Jennifer was also named one of the 2025 Elite Women by Insurance Business Canada, a prestigious award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions to the industry. She holds her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations and completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Criminology and Sociology at the University of Ottawa.

In her new role, Jennifer will oversee ClaimsPro’s operations throughout the GTA and provide direct support and leadership to the adjusters at our Markham, ON branch. She will report to Shannon Hoyt, Vice President of Central Canada for ClaimsPro.
