Mara Stancana (Eastern Canada TEC Director, Montreal) was proud to represent ClaimsPro at the recent Canadian Association of Insurance Women (CAIW)’s 60th Annual Convention in Blue Mountain, June 11 to 14.
ClaimsPro has been a longtime supporter of the CAIW (and its member associations across the country) in its mission to promote education, networking and personal development of individuals affiliated with the insurance industry, directly and indirectly.
And we’ve been proud to sponsor the CAIW’s Annual Achievement Awards recognizing two member associations each year that best outline their goals and activities through education and community involvement.
At the convention, Mara was pleased to recognize the Nova Scotia Insurance Women Association (NSIWA) for coming in first place, and AFAM - Association des Femmes d’Assurance de Montréal for taking home second place!
Nancy D’Amour (Business Development Director, Brossard), as Secretary on the AFAM Executive Committee (soon to be Second Vice President for 2026/27), said: “we are so pleased. This Annual Achievement Award reflects the great work our association is doing. And personally, I’m most proud of my role, and that of Mara’s, in organizing the association’s annual fundraising event. Each year, this event brings together many professionals from the insurance industry. We raised more than $15,000 in support of three organizations dedicated to helping women in need.”
Well done all!
